Stone Town City Tour

A 2–3 hour walk through the historical, cultural and architectural heart of Zanzibar.

The tour usually starts at 08:30 and takes two to three hours depending on the places visited. Most of the historical monuments are within the town’s municipal environs: the Anglican Cathedral built on the former slave market, the house of the slave trader Tippu Tip, Hamamni Baths, Darajani market, the Old Fort, the House of Wonders and the home of Freddie Mercury. Your guide will show you the beautiful patterns of the Zanzibar door as you walk narrow streets where most houses are more than 150 years old, past bazaars, curio shops and restaurants.
