Forodhani is the popular waterfront at the heart of Zanzibar town. Every evening it fills with people cooling down from the heat of the day over delicacies and grilled food. There are dishes brought by Omanis, Yemenis and Persians, Indians, Europeans and even Chinese, but the most popular are pilau, biryani, chicken chips, Zanzibar mix (urojo) and Zanzibar pizza.

It is also the best place in town to watch the sunset.
