Who we are
Rafiki Adventures is a Zanzibar-based travel company sharing the islands and the Tanzanian mainland with curious travellers. Rafiki means friend — and that is how we guide.
Our mission
To help every visitor get the most out of their holiday, with accurate local knowledge, licensed guides and journeys built around the place rather than around a checklist.
Our vision
A Zanzibar and Tanzania where tourism strengthens communities, protects endemic wildlife and keeps living heritage alive for the generations that follow.
Community impact
We work with community-based projects such as the Zanzibar Butterfly Centre and the Pemba flying fox conservancy, where visitor revenue funds alternative livelihoods and local projects.
Tourism & conservation
Jozani’s red colobus, the mangroves of the coast and the reefs of Mnemba are fragile. We follow the rules that protect them — distance, reef-safe practice and licensed operators only.
