Hamamni Persian Baths

The first public baths in Zanzibar, built by Sultan Barghash in the late 19th century.

Although no longer functioning, the baths are kept in near-perfect condition. A nominal entrance fee goes towards their upkeep, and explanatory plaques are placed at points around the baths and chambers.
